Foundation

The Foundation supports the mission of Ramsey IFAC to "engage every child's passion for learning through the arts."   The Foundation provides:

  • Oversight of non-school sponsored fundraising activities (parent led)
  • Management of an endowment created to provide future funding of the arts
  • Grants to staff and parents

Ramsey students come largely from the Whittier, Central, Phillips, Powderhorn, Bancroft, and Bryant neighborhoods in south Minneapolis.  They represent a cross-section of cultures and the majority live in low to median income households. The Foundation endeavors to ensure that all students receive an equal opportunity to experience fine arts in their education, in a culturally diverse environment.

Future funding goals are built on needs and assessments communicated by staff and parents.  Grants can range from small amounts to cover the cost of paint for social study projects, to money for set building in the annual musical, to paying for a field trip to the Ordway.  Our goal is to assist the community at large and ensure that every child has access to those things that will excite them, and inspire them, regardless of their background or origins.
